Anyone remember the final WINDMILL debate in ANIMAL FARM? |
|
I'm still trying to figure out exactly how George Jr. screwed up so bad on Thursday. It doesn't make sense. (I'm over analyzing I know, but I just don't think Rove is so stupid to have prepared his monkey so poorly.)
Okay, remember in Animal Farm, Snowball and Napoleon had been having these debates over building a windmill for a very long time. Snowball advocated the windmill and Napoleon didn't. Finally, I believe the day of the vote, they gave their last speeches.
Snowball gave a rousing talk about the windmill and how it would help everyone.
Then Napoleon took the stage and gave a dumbass speech with no passion and no points.
It was clear that Snowball would win the vote.
And just then Napoleon unleashed the dogs.
Maybe martial law is just around the corner.

Animal Farm. Not enough pictures.
Not to be a complete smart-ass, I find this adminstration frightening and would put nothing past them. I hope you're wrong.

I hope I'm wrong that is!
And I agree that there aren't enough pictures in Animal Farm for George Jr. to have read it...

4. I just re-read Animal Farm a couple of weeks ago. |
|
Funny how lately I seem to feel the need to re-read such books. Also just re-read 1984 and The Devils Advocate (by Taylor Caldwell).
All pertinent books.

6. Never read The Devil's Advocate... |
|
Is it good?
I re-read Animal Farm and 1984 about once a year. Best books ever (along with Moby Dick and The Lord of the Rings)
