Nader takes 17 electoral votes from Kerry and gives Bush a win. |

1. I hate Nader as much as the next guy, however... |
|
When they're using Fox, Gallup, and Mason-Dixon, all notorious for right wing bias, it's hard to concede their point clearly.

2. Too bad we have such a bizarre election system |
|
Makes me nuts that we can't let a great guy like Ralph Nader make a _real_ go for office.

11. Nader is purposely spoiling the election |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-04-04 03:35 PM by Cheswick
That is his purpose and it is to punish democrats for not bowing to his wishes and taking his phone calls.
Democrats have no organized efforts to help conservative campaign, but that is not the point. The point is Nader's lies and his appeal to the perpetually naive to continue spoiling elections. I blame Nader, he is responsible for his behavior.

15. I think Nader could have spent the past 3.5 years lobbying for election |
|
reform if he really wanted to do something about it?
Also, anyone serious about running for the most powerful position in the world should prove himself via lesser office IMHO.
I honestly think Nader is a narcissist GPV. He said in 2000 he'd rather Bush win then Gore, and he got his wish.
Cobb is a man of integrity running for President, Nader has lost any respect I once had for him.

Peace and GO KERRY!

Kerry takes OR, NM, MN, WI, IA, MN, ME, NH for 264 regardless of Nader. The battle is over CO, OH, FL, WV mostly with possible breakthroughs in other Bush 2000 states.

Nader swings Michigan to Bush and takes Florida from a toss up to a clear Bush victory. Also, as a Minnesotan, I wouldn't count this egg till it's hatched. :hi: http://www.theunitycampaign.org/battleground/index.html

17. yes I checked the website |
|
The first thing I saw was Oregon as leaning Bush. That was when I knew that the data was flawed. As a long time Oregon politico, I know how Oregon is going to go this year and it will be Kerry by +4 or more.
I concluded that the site was using flawed data. Small sample state polls with inbuilt flaws are only one part of the equation... history and voting trends are far more important in projecting the race.

12. He wants Kerry to lose, plain and simple |
|
Say Kerry wins this election, despite "the Nader vote", then nobody will ever pay any attention to Nader anymore. No one will mention him in the papers or on cable talk shows. No one will invite on cable shows and ask him why he's running. Basically, no one will give a shit what he does. So he wants to steal the election from Kerry so that people will remember his name. It's truly very sad a such a brilliant, accomplished person can absolutely lose their mind later in life and do irreputable damage to the country.

on his hands too even if his "candidacy" doesn't swing any states to *. As far as I am concerned, you are either working to get this menace out of the White House or working to keep him in. If you are working to keep him in you are working for the continuance of all of his short-sighted policies including rejection of the Kyoto Accord, drilling in ANWR, allowing corporations to police themselves and allowing the Justice Department to have free and unfettered access to our private affairs. Yeah Ralph, you've come a long way. May you rot in hell with your fellow Bushistas.

19. Are there still myopic fools who plan to vote for Nader? |
|
What boneheads! Really, these voters are clueless. Sure, they will say that both parties are the same, blah, blah, blah...but they seem to conveniently forget that there are stark differences between the two major candidates. They just parrot poor old Nader's lines.
Another DUer stated that these people will never be swayed to vote for Kerry...they'd rather stay home. They are selfish idiots in my book, and I defy anyone to defend their actions this election year.
