6. I've always had my suspicions about

polls, especially since I had a little training in polling methodology in college. I've never, ever, ever been polled and neither has anyone I've ever known, no matter how small the acquaintance.

otherwise, I would have been freaking out and riding these irrational waves of exuberance/depression that so many others have.

However, if Bush had been way behind and trending down in all of the polls, then I'd be worried that they'd pull something very dangerous. hell, I still worry about what they will try.
