UPDATE: My girlfriend has changed her mind, is voting for Kerry |
|
I posted a story a few weeks back about a friend of mine, a usually reliable Democratic voter, telling me over lunch that she was voting for * because of what she said was piling on (the TANG story and the Kitty Kelley book and all).
I spoke with her again over the weekend and she assured me that she is now committed to John Forbes Kerry. She said that her reaction was more a reaction at what she perceives as our electoral polictics nadir. But she's back on the team.
Whew! That was a close one.

husband (Nader supporter) has finally decided to vote for JK although he says he's doing it while holding his nose. I don't care if he's holding his -x- as long as he votes K/E.

I'm glad she's back in the fold. Did she see the debate?

She said she was more impressed by JFK and his command of the issues of foreign policy.
I truly believe that she was just in a fit of pique (as I said at the time). She is a sensitive sort. She would pull for the underdog in football (if she watched football).

has the good sense to know that JK 'won' the debate! Unfortunately, he still watches bill o'r, master spin doctor, who speaks from both sides of mouth. Still waiting for this decision.

My entire immediate family says that they are voting for Kerry.
But in 2000 both parents and my younger brother voted for Bush.
My older brother, and my sister and I all voted for Gore in 2000, but back in the 80's that same older brother was a strong supporter of Ronald Reagan.
If these shifts are typical, we win! (Never mind that of the six of us only one lives is a "swing" state.)

She's smart. She figured it out. I knew she would. I was merely "The Encourager."

Banned political discussion during this summer's family reunion because they didn't want to hear any Bush bashing from their offspring...never voted Democrat in their lives...announced during the weekly call home yesterday that after the debate, they're voting Kerry! Best of all...they're voting in Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
