2. Not for long -- The sequels will be big
I'm talking "Return of the Jedi" big.

3. Friday night will be strange
Since it's a big football night all over the country, not to mention a date night, and a shopping night after payday. Friday was a lousy choice.

However, people who didn't watch last week's debate got told they missed a lot, and they may be tuning in if they can tear themselves away from the above.

5. it'll be much higher than the 2000, or 1996 audience for sure
since there is a renewed interest in politics, a close race, and a divided country. There will be alot of people watching, and Kerry has a chance to really wound Bush.

4. Yes
and being on a friday doesn't help.

still, I think the last debate inspired some curiosity. I might actually watch it this time (and don't yell at me, I watched the Daily show and read the entire transcript the next day).

6. Yes, although I believe the 3rd was most watched in '92
This year the numbers will decline, especially this week. Friday was a lousy choice, normally the least viewed TV night of the week, and now there will be baseball playoffs to siphon some of the audience from debate #1.
