Will Bush learn from his debate mistakes? |
|
You KNOW he's being coached like hell to not make angry, petulant faces at Kerry this time. I'm guessing that he'll still have trouble putting a complete sentence together and will repeat phrases again ("hard work"). Of course, I heard that his coaches were trying to get him flustered and angry before the first debate, too.

Is the other risk. If he changes his behavior too much, it will be obvious and phony. However, I think the change in format might help him out a bit.

3. Agreed. Bush Doesn't Make Mistakes.... |
|
Everything is always someone else's fault all the time under every condition. Bush thinks he was born by immaculate conception?

4. I think Cheney will win... |
|
That's how the media will spin it, anyway. The format plays to Cheney's strengths, and cable news is owned by the right wing.

that if he uses the phrase "hard work" even once in this debate he lose what remaining credibility he had...but then again he's been stupid for over 40+ years, he's not likely to wise up overnight. Put a fork in him...he's done.

8. He's never learned from anything else |
|
and he can't conceive of ever making a mistake. Also, what we saw last Thursday was the real B*sh, and for him to behave differently next time, he'd have to act like he's not really a petulant, angry asshole. That could be HARD WORK....

9. These responses are uncontrollable for him. |

I actually think he did the best he could. At least he didn't YELL!
He may do a bit betther with the Town Hall style debate...depending on how the questions are asked, and what they are! Shrub doesn't do very well thinking on his feet, and he can't hide that...it's just real!

Bush never makes mistakes, remember, he said so, so it must be true.
He's an inarticulate dumbass and they can't cover that up in the debates.

17. Bush came off as a total fool, but he still is running 50-50 |
|
with Kerry. some people (like half the country) don't seem to mind if he screws up in these debatesor elsewhere, if he talks like a jerk, if he invades Iraq, etc. All they care about are their tax cuts, the fact that Bush says the Bible is his favorite book, etc.

12. maybe he will but.... |

...I am not sure it will be enough.Bush's best chances were in that first debate the forum was how Bush wanted it and it was about security which the Bush people have been saying is there strong suit(translation they worked harder on those lies)and the first debate always has the most viewers. Now we have a debate were Bush is facing the people and that scares him, hell even if he doesn't make stupid faces this guy crumbles when he has to think on his feet, the third debate may be in the style of the first but its about domestic policy and Kerry can really stick it to Bush on that one good since Bush and his people haven't worked as hard on those particular lies("the economy is doing better....no I can't prove it.....well there are some great 6 dollar an hour jobs and that will help America!!Yeah thats it....how?.... it just will okay!!!").

13. Bush is under SO much more pressure now, he won't be able to handle |
|
it. All his weird mannerisms and tics will be in full display as he tries to cope with the stress of the debate. He'll be so consumed with fending off a full scale panic attack, that he won't know what he's saying. I'd love to see a full scale meltdown. It's gonna be a good show :-)
