Edwards will annihilate Cheney, It's easy.

At some point in the debate, Cheney will accuse Edwards of not having the experience to make judgments regarding war and peace and therefore is unable to protect America. Edwards will wait for this and then drop a cluster bomb on Cheney. Edwards will say this.

"Now let me get this straight" Edwards will say. "Here we have a vice president who made the case for war in Iraq practically by himself." Edwards grins. "He told us all, he told every American that Sadam was an immanent threat, that he HAD WMD, that he HAD nuclear capability based on those aluminum tubs. That the CIA told him all of this and that we must go to war NOW". Edwards looks over to Cheney and shakes his head in disgust and says. "We now know all of this to be untrue, and more over, its not a matter of good or bad judgment." "The CIA tells us now that they had counter evidence that Sadam did not have WMD, that the engineers concluded long ago that those aluminum tubs could not be used for nuclear weapons." Edwards holds his hands up in disbelief. "Dick Cheney new this counter evidence and didn't tell us. We don't EVEN know if he told the president or Condi Rice or for that matter Collen Powell before he was sent up to the U.N with false information." Edwards face becomes grim and he says. "What we have learned over the past 3 years, and for this there can be no doubt. That on matters of war and peace, that when it comes to sending our young boys and girls to the deaths in a foreign land, what we have learned is that Dick Cheney CANNOT BE TRUSTED."

But John Edwards knows that melodrama will disaffect people.

It will be fun to watch J.E. Tear Cheney apart. Edwards was a trial lawyer and Cheney is used to people bowing and scraping.

7. Cheney is no slouch.

He is a very intelligent guy AND he is evil - This is why he is so dangerous. Do not underestimate him. He is not likable though (From an objective point of view - not mine!) and he is prone to having a temper ala Leahy. Edwards should exploit that. I doubt this will be the same cakewalk that President Kerry had over Fool b*sh, but we should not get hurt either - I expect a draw or a mild Edwards win.

However, I would like to be wrong and have Edwards wipe the floor with ch*ney's blood!

Funny thing to me is that Edwards has spent his professional life defending 'regular folks' against the very type of smirking, arrogant, self-serving greedy bastard corpratz that Cheney is and whom he represents. Tricky Dick II is the epitome of the big, fat, self-serving, smirking, evil corprat. Edwards has protected many a citizen from such scum.

I am not saying who will win or lose, just that it will be interesting to watch.

10. Cheney has the gun----but Edwards has all the ammo

All Cheney can do is do his ugly growling, monotone rendition of all the talking points he and "Giggles the President" have used forever and are getting boring and stale (oh, go 'hold the course' yourself, asshole). Edwards will be able to finally get out the message to the political dense about Haliburton, secret energy meetings, Cheney's rebuke of going all the way in Iraq during Gulf War I, and the list goes on. By the end, Cheney is going to want to come over the table and kill Mr. Southern Comfort-------I love it.
