Question about registration
Hi all. My brother and I are first-time voter's and so excited about this election (at least I am) and we're both voting for Kerry. We sent in our forms September 29th and should have made it either the 30th or the 1st (I think the deadline which is what we were told at voting headquarter's here). The forms head up to Nashville and we haven't gotten our cards yet. I know it hasn't been ten days but I'm a very curious person (I'm surprised my curiostity hasn't killed me yet, I guess it helps being human eh?) and was wondering if there was any way I could find out if the forms has made it in time or not. Thanks to anybody who can help.

1. Call your county recorder (if that's what its called where you are)
They may be able to tell you if the registration is processed. If you filled out a registration form that's in triplicate, there would be a receipt copy for you. If you haven't received a voter card by the election day, your state may allow you to use that receipt to fill out a provisional ballot. But it depends on what your state laws are, that's how it is here in AZ.

2. You should be able to call you county election office or maybe the
secretary of state. Usually the county office will have the more up to date list though. Good luck! I would stay on it to mke sure!

3. Thanks!
I'll have to see about calling later in the morning. I'll try the local voting place first. Definietly want to make sure it got there in time. Then maybe I can rest at night. Heh heh. :eyes:
