USA Today runs extremely biased poll against Kerry

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-10-03-bush-troops_x.htm
"Troops in survey back Bush 4-to-1 over Kerry"

Of course they state in the article that it's "unscientific" which keeps them from being sued. Their "poll" was actually a mail survey taken from subscribers to conservative military journals. Only 13% of responsdents were even Democracts. In spite of that, and with 20% independents and these being career military for the most part, 25% sided with Kerry.

That means Kerry got 100% of the Democracts, for example, and 12% of the independents. It's actually good for Kerry, but USA Today is spinning it, and no one would realize it from a cursory inspection of the title of their article or the content.

Up From 34%. Gannet is as trustworthy as Faux and Carl Cameron.

2. Ahah! That evil snake Ginsberg has been touting that poll
all over the cablenets. I thought it sounded just a little bit off--
I can't believe our troops could be that stupid at this point!

3. And in another recent USA Today article...
A Military Times survey (for officers) last December of 933 subscribers, about 30 percent of whom had deployed for the Iraq war, found that 56 percent considered themselves Republican...

Enlisted personnel, however - a disproportionate number of whom are minorities, a population that tends to lean Democratic - are more evenly split. Professor Feaver estimates that about one third of enlisted troops are Republicans, one third Democrats, and the rest independents, with the latter group growing.
