Great news inside WaPo poll
Look at the Midwest number:

Oct. 4
 	               East	Midwest	South	West	All
Bush and Cheney 47% 47% 57% 51% 51%
Kerry and Edwards	50% 50% 41% 46% 46%

Compare to:
Sept. 27
                       East	Midwest	South	West	All
Bush and Cheney 44% 58% 55% 41% 51%
Kerry and Edwards	51% 35% 41% 53% 44%

And if you believe that Bush gained 10 pts in the West and
Kerry lost 7 pts in the West after the debate, I've got some
land in Utah to sell you.

1. That is the weirdest poll I've seen to date.
It's as if the debate just cause everyone to change their mind and vote for the other guy. The West numbers and the Midwest numbers have almost reversed! How can the *same* event be followed up by massive loss for Bush in one region, massive loss for Kerry in another, and have hardly an effect in the others?

One of the results must be b/s. Crossing fingers it's the West one.

of my belief that a thousand or so responses can't really be considered an accurate snapshot of tens of millions of opinions -- no matter what the statisticians say.

4. Nice one.
nice job in pointing this out. Seems alot of support in the poll is coming from the south. If you took out the south, the results would be completely towards Kerry.

7. We are also tied among Indies 47 to 47.
We can't be down by five points with numbers like that.
