dear mr. bush, why don't you just walk away from all this?
because it really is hard work, as you kept reminding us the other night. and that's something you've never done in your entire life.

you're just not cut out for it. you're in over your head and have been since day one. sure, it's probably cool that god speaks through you. but all those people wanting so much of your time .... it's hard to get in a good game of video golf or an afternoon nap.

and no matter how well your handlers insulate you, no matter how much your wife censors the morning papers, you know in your heart of hearts that 1) the people behind you are using you and 2) the majority of americans despise you.

the way i see it, you can do one of two things. you can hang in there, steal the election, and go down in history as the man who stole two elections, lowered america's standing in the world, enriched his corporate pals, and mortgaged our grandchildren's future.

or you can walk away, hit the rubber chicken and handshake circuit four years early, get back to your life of not doing jack shit, and eventually be looked upon as, say, another franklin pierce. see? you don't even know who he is. the choice is yours. stay and risk meltdown or leave and coast the rest of your life.

how do you pull this off? glad you asked. for starters, do something really, really stupid friday night in the debate. something so incredibly boneheaded that it will surprise even those who've known you for years. another way would be to quit campaigning. just stay in the white house and goof off. let kerry quietly coast into a good, solid lead. you'll be amazed how easy it is.

do it, w. just walk away. no one will care for long. there'll be another kobe bryant or scott peterson case that'll become the media's obsession. and under president kerry, things will become good again, so people forget how badly you screwed them up.

you know you want to, george. we want you to. the world wants you to.

you know you can.

5. His Ego Wouldn't Let Him...
He's so stupid he doesn't realize how stupid he is...

I wouldn't be suprised if he thought he won the first debate....

6. Because Bush sees another way out of the hard work

See, you believe that if being president is hard work, Bush actually he has to do it. He doesn't agree, and he's right, in a sense. Being the boss--and his conception of being president is that he is the boss and nobody else--he decides when to take vacations, he decides when to not care. Don't do it, and blame someone else, or bad luck, or terrorists, or France, for the results while you take another vacation or appear before Your Own Kind at another carefully screened fundraiser.

You think of being president as a great responsibility. He thinks of it as a genie granting wishes.

8. My contribution
Oh and George. I know there is going to be a lot of stress from all those libruls when President Kerry blames your administration for causing all the problems he has to fix. Tell you what, you deserve a little "assistance" with your stress relief. I will gladly send you an entire case of Crown Royal. You remember Crown Royal right? That is the refreshing blended whiskey that comes with the purple bag that can hold lots of cool things. Lighters, spoons, steel wool, razor blades, extra batteries, gameboy cartridges, small plastic vials, pill containers, tiny little spoons. Think about it.
