More "great economic news" for Kerry to hit Bush over the head with.

1. WSJ anticipates Bush math to find extra 300,000 jobs through August
So I would expect the same number crunchers to find a lot of jobs in Sept before the debate!

I think Elaine Liar Chao is working behind the scenes to do some creative accounting.

A reputable friend informed me that the report on Friday is bad news for Kerry. Keep your fingers crossed.

15. Got a crystal ball or something?
"A reputable friend informed me that the report on Friday is bad news for Kerry. Keep your fingers crossed."

That's laughable. Do you or your "reputable" friend have any idea how much money advance knowledge of the monthly jobs report would be worth? You could make millions in the futures markets every single month.......jobs data is kept highly secure, and frankly I doubt that the BLS is even close to done compiling data yet - the report doesn't come out until Friday morning. The Whitehouse doesn't even get that data until the afternoon before release.

21. I agree - "bad news" if you believe the newly found 300,000 jobs
that were put on in the Spring via "revised numbers"

In any case it will make Kerry's economic sell harder because the media will run with it!

We need to point out that Bush still ends first term with few jobs than when he started.

What was I telling you a couple of days ago? I don't trust them not to pull a million jobs out of their collective @$$e$ that they can't account any warm bodies to.

Lies don't trump the realities that millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans face everyday.

Spin, spin, spin, Mr pResident but you can't spin away the truth.

Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 11:59 AM by Beetwasher
Coming on to DU a few days before the job report comes out claiming they have a "reputable" friend who says the job report is going to be GREAT! Then the job report comes out and it sucks.

What do you think you're accomplishing by posting drivel like this?

Pathetic.

9. Because "Kerry supporters" know that a Bush win is
disastrous for the country. That's why a temporary economic boost fueled by low interest rates and a tax cut, is not a recipe for fiscal health. It is a recipe for economic disaster down the road, after your asshole president isn't around anymore. Because "Kerry supporters" fear for the health of Social Security and other federal safety nets that your asshole president would like to see eliminated. That is why DUers do not "celebrate" Bush's made up, inflated, count-burger-making-as-manufacturing-job numbers.

14. Looks like Texas got hit hard with job cuts.
From the article:

"Of all states, Texas saw the most job-cut announcements, with 22,003. Next came Illinois, with 12,648 cuts, and Michigan, with 10,532 cuts. Georgia had 8,728 cut announcements, and New Jersey had 7,572."

Not that I wish any hardship on anyone.
