Clark supporters only, Help make a pro Clark flyer for Dean event |
|
Dean said he thought the anti Clark flyers were Ok since they had true quotes on them, so now that he has approved these flyers let's come up with one to give out at Dean speeches.
The quotes on the flyers have to be the TRUTH.
I would start with
"Dean said that it could be "good or bad" if Hamas took control of the Palestinian leadership once Yasser Arafat had left the scene."
"The bad, of course, is that Hamas is a terrorist organization. However, if they have to run a quasi-state they may actually have to be more responsible and start negotiations. So who knows what will happen?" he asked."
Then for speeches where there will be mostly people over 60 in the audience I would tell them he supported Newt and quote him saying medicare is the worst program ever.
What true quotes would you put on the flyer?

16. If you wanna win the game you don't play with the waterboy.... |
|
nor do you compare stats with the waterboy you compare yourself with the real players.
Worrying about whateveryone else does and comparing yourself to a lower standard is not the way to go.

6. Who cares what Dean thinks is OK. It is what CLARK thinks is OK |
|
The flyer could begin The Clark campaign does not stoop to attack other Democratic campaigns. We seek a HIGHER STANDARD of LEADERSHIP. However, to correct the lies spread by the Dean campaign blah blah blah...
Issue 1: Blah blah Blah Issue 2: Blah blah blah
If you want a Leader elect a Leader
A Higher Standard of Leadership - Wesley K. Clark

try anything like that. I know it's sorely tempting but it would only hurt Clark. Clark is better than those kinds of tactics, and his supporters should be too. Let the official campaign handle flyers.
Please don't do anything to make Clark look bad.

12. Please stay as positive as you can (I know its not grade school) |
|
and please be overly sensitive to the truth (taking things out of context)
Other than that, knock yourself out!
Clark has so many wonderful quotes I wouldn't know where to start with suggestions. Just concentrate on security/experience/attitude. Because thats Wes Clark.

8. Only if you put a lock icon next to each quote. |
|
And only put five quotes on there. You can put out another five quotes after 24 hours.

9. Pro-Clark fliers do not |
|
include things like
"Then for speeches where there will be mostly people over 60 in the audience I would tell them he supported Newt and quote him saying medicare is the worst program ever."
Please don't do that.
And I think it is illegal to put them on people's cars. You could hand out Pro-Clark (NOT attacking Dean) fliers to willing people if you wanted, but you might turn off more people than you would turn on. I wouldn't be particularly impressed if I was given a flier from another candidate (even a non-negative one) at a Clark event...
Please use the same good judgement that has led you to support Clark here as well.

14. I cannot respect any Clark supporter who would do such a thing. |
|
Please DO NOT do this.
It's fine however if you want to help put out a flier detailing his positions on the issues, his record of voting for Clinton and Gore, debunkings of attacks on Clark from the left, etc.
Let us not contribute to a possibly harmful split among Democrats during the General Election.

18. ok we don't have to USE this one but shouldn't we have it ready |
|
shouldn't we make one just in case we have to use it?
It would have only TRUE quotes like the ones I listed. We wouldn't use it if it would hurt our candidate and we would stop when he says he doesn't approve of them.

act like them. If they want to make fools out of themselves by chasing after Clark supporters with a bunch of out of context drivel let them.
I think it reflects poorly on Dean and his supporters.

Please do not start inflammatory threads...
1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.
