Cheney will talk about his leadership and expertise. Edwards should agree, commending him for his taking charge while Commander Bunnypants hid and abdicated his office for most of that day.

It is the coolest form of fighting: use your opponent's weight against him.

3. great. Here's the plan. |

Edwards reach out under the table and kick the plug to Cheney's crashcart out of the wall. Then we'll use Cheney's hot air against him.

Use Cheney's experience and seriousness and contrast it with the Chimperor. Make his fat, unpopular ass the symbol of this administration.
Than reveal all of Cheney's lies. "Why did you say this, when you know otherwise?"

I think my Edwards crush would go into overdrive if he said that. Hee hee! And then he could add that it was too bad that Cheney didn't keep up his leadership role, but instead chose to hide in an 'undisclosed location'.

People like Edwards because he tried to raise the bar on political discussion. This will be a selling point to many.

6. Cheney is planning to attack Edwards on |
|
avoiding Medicare tax on 90% of his income as a Subchapter S, pointing out the hypocrisy of his stance on taxing the rich. This morning, Rush said Cheney should do that; since Rush is an unpaid advisor to the campaign, this should be taken seriously. Granted, it could be just a bluff. Cheney might want to soften his image, but probably not.
I think Edwards will need to strike back (or strike first) and not let up about committing our troops to war to line the pockets of the war profiteers. I also think he should point out that he would be willing to pay more in income tax as a way of giving back to the land of opportunity. He should let his plans speak for themselves--he wants to be a leader of the people, not the powerful, and this despite the wealth Kerry and Edwards have.
