dick tonight(when dick makes the comment that the Johns won't keep us safe and I know he will)and say: "Sept 11th happened on YOUR watch! Why weren't YOU keeping us safe"?

Because, after all, it WAS on his and bush's watch. Then he needs to say something about how they dismissed all the warning signs they had leading up to 9-11. I think dick thinks Edwards doesn't have the guts. I'm bettin' he does.

say the same thing. She said she is amazed that the bush admin. can take the worst mistake ever(9-11 happened) and turn it around to make bush the HERO somehow! I couldn't agree more. It did happen on their watch. Period! Why do we not say that? Why do we not scream it? YOU FAILED US BUSH!! You failed us. And why did you stay on vacation BTW?

3. I hope he digs up the transcript from the October 2000

radio interview with Condi Rice (in Ohio, I believe) where she said the biggest security challenge a Bush administration would need to address would be to get all the various intelligence agencies coordinating to make sure all possible threats were identified. Eight months after she was made National Security Advisor, she still had not started on what she claimed in October 2000 was her biggest priority.

They played the interview during the 9/11 hearings.

4. 9/11

In my opinion, this is the BIGGEST mess-up by the Democrats.

How Bush could take advantage of the WORST TERRORIST ATTACK ON AMERICAN SOIL, especially after he got an 8/6/01 PDB warning of this very thing is outright incompetence in the Democrats communciations shop.

Put it this way, if 9/11 had happened on Al Gore's watch, not only would Repubs bludgeoned him with it, but may very well have impeached him. (They have impeached for lesser crimes :) Democrats need to get better about taking a stand and developing, for once, a sustained and focused communications strategy.

6. Yep, that's my point..........

we were so afraid of pointing the finger that we made it so bush got off the hook. It doesn't matter that it was only 9 months after he took office. It was NINE MONTHS, not the day after the election. Anybody should have had enough sense to understand the OBL was serious about this. bush should have come home from his VACATION, called all the heads in and done something. He should have told us too. After all, we live here.
