Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 02:53 PM by scmirage
I think someone on the front row needs to switch seats with him ASAP.
How much do you want to bet that the Repugs will have Cheney doped up tonight to keep him from blowing his top?

Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 05:50 PM by RevCheesehead
i love Elizabeth. She's a little short (by WI standards), so it should be pretty easy for L. to be seen by the F-man.

As my dad pointed out to me, it's bad enough that Cheney said what he did, but when he was called on it, his response was "I'd say it again, if I had the chance."

Such a fine example for our children and youth.

So, should we give him an "F" for tonight?

They said Leahy will be in Cheney's line of sight.

32. Edwards should give Cheney the opportunity to clear the record
Did he say "Fu*k Off" or "Go Fu*k Yourself" to Leahy? I've heard both reported as having been said by Cheney and he should have the opportunity to clear the air and set the record straight in his own defense.

29. How did we live without Google? Here's the joke...
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 03:46 PM by Richardo
...I heard it in junior high so it's at least 30 years old.
-----------------------------
This guy went to the zoo one day. While he was standing in front of the gorilla's enclosure, the wind gusted and he got some grit in his eye. As he pulled his eyelid down to dislodge the particle, the gorilla went crazy, bent open the bars, and beat the guy senseless.

When the guy came to his senses, the zookeeper was anxiously bending over him, and as soon as he was able to talk, he explained what had happened. The zookeeper nodded and explained that in gorilla language, pulling down your eyelid means: "*@#$! You." The explanation didn't make the gorilla's victim feel any better and he vowed revenge.

The next day he purchased two large knives, two party hats, two party horns, and a large sausage. Putting the sausage in his pants, he hurried to the zoo and over to the gorilla's cage, into which he tossed a hat, a knife, and a party horn. Knowing that the big apes were natural mimics, he put on a party hat. The gorilla looked at him, and looked at the hat, and put it on. Next he picked up his horn and blew on it. The gorilla picked up his horn and did the same.

Then the man picked up his knife, whipped the sausage out of his pants, and sliced it neatly in two. The gorilla looked at the knife in his cage, looked at his own crotch, and pulled down his eyelid...

18. That was exactly what I was thinking
Push his glasses up the bridge of his nose, scratch his forehead, rub his ear -- all with an extended middle finger. If Crashcart is stupid enough to let on that he is noticing, Leahy should assume the most inoffensive, mild demeanor he can manage.

Then start doing it all over again.

33. Cute implication, but that's not how it works
The idea that Cheney's gonna tell Edwards to F- off tonight is absurd. Cheney is far too disciplined about surface appearances to make such a slip. If anything, Leahy there will remind Cheney to mind his tongue. The point is to have a reminder to the world about what the real Cheney is like when he's not acting nice or trying to make a professional impression. Ideally, this will give some commentator an opportunity to mention Cheney's coarse language on the senate floor just before or after tonight's debating takes place.

The vice president refused to apologize. The White House said President Bush (news - web sites) had no problem with what Cheney said.

On Tuesday, a top Bush campaign official called Kerry's staff and took issue with Leahy's seating position.
