I understand that Mr. Bush, painfully aware of his appalling performance in last Thursday's debate, is planning a "do-over" to shore up his sagging poll numbers. I hope that you and all of your colleagues will point out to your public that a speech entirely written by others, carefully rehearsed and delivered without challenge cannot and should not erase the impression of weakness incompetence and worrisome emotional instability demonstrated so conclusively in Bush's real live unscripted debate performance. We saw what we saw on Thursday night. It was real and it was frightening.

If my computer managed to send you my one letter 30 times, I apologize profusely. It certainly did it without my knowledge!
But for a communicator, you don’t make yourself very clear. By "30 of the same note" do you mean that you got 30 notes with my signature? 30 worded exactly the same as mine with different signatures-- or 30 notes on the same subject? I can assure you I wrote every last little word of my note to you myself. Perhaps the people who read it on the Democratic website on which I post the occasional message liked it enough to copy it and send it along. Or are you annoyed because I also copied so many others newpeople. Didn’t I make you feel special enough, Mr. Brown?
How DO we get your attention? If originality counts over raw numbers in the national discourse, why do y’all take so many polls?

Nah, not worth the trouble. A really "serious reporter" might have simply NOTED that a bunch of people have their knickers in a twist over Bush’s move to "do over" his vile performance. I shall review with interest the other responses to my letter. I assume most of them will be machine generated, which is fine by me. But if I get one any snottier than your response, I’ll let you know.

I used to sort of like him -- at least, more than I liked the other CNN whores -- but he's pretty much gone over to the Dark Side. I now watch Olbermann and don't turn on CNN at all. And this is by no means the first report I've seen that he replies snottily to critical e-mail (if he replies at all). Therefore I think that anyone who writes to Mr. Brown should do so by hand, with a fountain pen, on high-quality perfumed stationery. It's more work, but if he gets enough perfumed letters he might get the point.

Or not. Apparently his nice-guy image belies his inner asshole.
