A little preshow music to put us in the mood |
|
What's playing at your house right now? I've got "Sir Duke" and "Carolina in the Pines," both of which I heard played back-to-back on a store's in-store system recently, heh-heh. (Coinkydink?? Not in SE Michigan.) And also "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" simply because it's a great general theme for the Dem party, and it never fails to fire me up and get me out of the doldrums. Also "Here Comes the Sun."
Any other ideas? I'm combing thru my MP3s right now.
KICK CHENEY'S EVIL, PASTY ASS TO THE CURB TONIGHT, JOHNNY!!!!

3. The soundtrack to "Kill Bill." |
|
Looked dead, didn't I? Well I wasn't, but it wasn'T for lack fo trying, I can tell you that. Actually Bill's last bullet put me in a coma. A coma I was to lie in for five years. When I woke up, ...I went on what the movie advertisements refer to as a Roaring Rampage of Revenge. I roarded and I rampaged and I got bloody satisfaction. In all, I've killed 33 people to get to this piont right now. I have only one more. The last one. The one I'M driving to right now. The only one left. And when I arrive at my destination..... .... I'm gonna Kill Bill.

Fight the Power
1989 the number another summer (get down) Sound of the funky drummer Music hittin' your heart cause I know you got soul (Brothers and sisters, hey) Listen if you're missin' y'all Swingin' while I'm singin' Givin' whatcha gettin' Knowin' what I know While the Black bands sweatin' And the rhythm rhymes rollin' Got to give us what we want Gotta give us what we need Our freedom of speech is freedom or death We got to fight the powers that be Lemme hear you say Fight the power
As the rhythm designed to bounce What counts is that the rhymes Designed to fill your mind Now that you've realized the prides arrived We got to pump the stuff to make us tough from the heart It's a start, a work of art To revolutionize make a change nothin's strange People, people we are the same No we're not the same Cause we don't know the game What we need is awareness, we can't get careless You say what is this? My beloved lets get down to business Mental self defensive fitness (Yo) bum rush the show You gotta go for what you know Make everybody see, in order to fight the powers that be Lemme hear you say...
Fight the Power

Just for Dick -- "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and the Eurythmics' "Love Song for a Vampire" and "If I Had a Million Dollars."
Hey, found one for Kneel Bushit: "One Night in Bangkok."
I'll be ready for the debate this Friday with "It's Friday, I'm in Love."
And for the final debate, a little Don Henley:
This is the last worthless evening That you'll have to spend Just gimme a chance To show you how to love again This is the last worthless evening That you'll have to spend 'Cause I'll be there When your broken heart is on the mend
Heh. This is fun.
