Damn, Bush Is Getting Shredded All Over the News Today
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 05:37 PM by Beetwasher
On ABC right now they are questioning the Zarqawi-Hussein connections and making Bush look like an idiot.

Bremer's been all over the news.

What gives?

8. Yup, the librul media has been going easy on the
retarded kid for four whole years. That is the impression I've been getting in any case. I'm so tired of screaming at the TV. They can't be that stupid, so they must just be trying to be kind to the handicapped.

9. I noticed that major headline on the online NYT today, except for the flu.
vaccine shortage, is not pro-Bush:

"Bremer Says U.S. Was Short on Troops for Occupation of Iraq"
" Bush Campaign Asks Supporters to Flood Web"
" Rumsfeld: Lack of Proof for Qaeda-Iraq Link"
"Iraqi Premier Gives Sobering Account of Insurgency"

(These are above the online 'fold' which is a list of photoss usually to puff articles.)

11. Taking your country to war over lies is a no-no.
The only thing I don't understand is what toof the media so long to figure out this lying, cowardly administration.

14. They have known all along. It is in the best interest of the media
owners to go with the "winner" at first. The landscape is changing for them rapidly now so I think they are hedging their bets. They are still whores though.

12. Bremers revenge
He left Iraq quitely, and under a shroud of secrecy, and the probable reason for the turnover of power early was due to differences between Bremer and Cheney. WHich is again, likely why he came oun on the day of the debate with Cheney.

15. I said this yesterday, and I'll say it again today...
Some top people at these news divisions I think have seen some bad internal polling numbers (which they will not own up to) that indicate a down Bush trend that cannot be stemmed save for a miracle event near election day. The news they report constitutes about a tenth of what they are working on or are debating reporting on. Note only the most flaccid of Bush toadys went on the record with a "Kerry's done" meme after the fabled "double-digit" post-con bounce.

Most of them hedged and went with a "the debates will be the decider". Post-debate when the horrific numbers started coming in and the Bush people panicked, the press swing began. But there is something else afoot when a lot of them jump on Bremer, maul Condi and ravage Rumsfeld with such gusto at this juncture. They've seen numbers that (cravenly, in my mind) gives them the courage to speak out as they have no fear of retribution from a lame duck.

Just my feeling...but it's a strong feeling.

21. As much as the media is disliked
I cannot believe all the talking heads are that dumb that they'd actually vote for this imbecile. Now, because of the last debate where Kerry overpowered the lil shrub, maybe they feel less threatened and feel they can actually express their real opinions. Also, some people take a nationalistic view, "My Prez, right or wrong" and too many facts have been broadcast lately/finally! Reality is hitting them big-time!

Kerry drew blood, and everybody else just noticed that Bush isn't the god they thought he was.

And just wait 'til John Edwards goes Atticus Finch on Cheney tonight.
John
I'm NOT getting cocky, but I truly believe Kerry is going to win and win fairly easily (say, five points or so and 300 EV). Just a hunch.

19. On Faux, too?
Most Bushco supporters only watch the balanced reporting on Faux, so unless they are also reporting this, they will never hear of it. Of course, even if Bushco was caught torturing kittens, they wouldn't change their votes.
