NYT: Bush Campaign Asks Supporters to Flood Web...
" Bush Campaign Asks Supporters to Flood Web
By JIM RUTENBERG

Published: October 5, 2004

LEVELAND, Oct. 5 -- Determined to win the post-vice presidential debate spin war tonight, President Bush's campaign is calling on its supporters to flood the news media immediately after the event ends with declarations that Vice President Cheney came out ahead.

Ken Mehlman, Mr. Bush's campaign manager, sent out an e-mail message to supporters early this morning.

"Immediately after the debate, visit online polls, chat rooms, and discussion boards and make your voice heard," he said in the note, sent to the six million supporters on the campaign's e-mail list. "People's perceptions are shaped as much by their conversations around the water cooler as by the debates themselves."

4. No they don't
They think the polls are they reason the media reported Bush lost instead of going with the plan to call it a Bush win. Bush messed up so bad that the polls were not close enough for the media to pretend Bush won.

5. Poll in Ohio
Heve turned over in Kerrys favor since the debates, and it seems that on the last days of voters registration in Ohio show a large increase in democrats who have been registered in the last week than Republicans. Even a percent increase in registered voters (new ones are more likely to vote) can create an advantage for Democrats.
