Time to impersonate the Freepers!
Check this out--fair is fair, boys and girls.

http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerry200410051618.asp

<snip>

A truly nefarious saboteur might start sending those e-mails to the DNC's mailing list now.

Something like, "Edwards beat Cheney in the greatestest super-duper debate rout EVER! Kerry's victory is assured! Finally, on that glorious day, the Democratic Party will have its revenge, and we can finally round up those no-good evil Republicans and conservatives, and force them into re-education camps, and do away with those who oppose the NEW ORDER..."

But that would be wrong. And I wouldn't do that.

COUGHpajamahadeenfindemaillisthereCOUGH!

UPDATE: Arrrrrgh. The Bush campaign is now doing this too. Stop it! Spin spam isn't good for anyone!

UPDATE, AGAIN: Kerry Spot reader Jeremy has apparently already heard back from an Ohio paper. The Ohio paper's profanity-laden response:

You ******* moron. You're supposed to send out your dumb*** spin letters after the debate — not four hours before it starts. All you do is **** editors off with this ****. Do you understand how many of these things we get? Do you understand how easy they are to spot? I'm a life-long Democrat, but I'm so embarrassed by how **** dumb the minions of my party are. You guys are less street smart than those guys named Scooter who work for Bush. No wonder we keep getting our ***** kicked.

I have to wipe the tears of laughter away.

1. Aaron Brown just said something similar...
He emailed someone back about "30 of the same note".

If reporters would actually DO THEIR JOBS, nobody would have to resort to this.

3. The issue is stupid people/impersonators emailing debate spin
BEFORE the debate.

They're trying to make us look stupid--might as well reveal just how stupid they are--albeit in an indirect manner.

4. Perhaps time to spin the spin. Start writing glowing reports of Cheney.
Start now.

5. We couldn't help it...the AP reported the debate
was a fait accompli before it had begun! How were we to know it wasn't time yet!

8. My question is how do these smug "journalists" know that the
emails they received "before the debate" by "stupid" internet users were from pro-Kerry folks and not from pro-* folks that wanted to make Kerry supporters look stupid?

What morans! They think they know so damned much, but they don't know sh**!

Your editorial staff needs to be aware of this from the National Review Online.

11. just found freeper proof that this is what they are planning
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1236162/posts

The idea of EVERYONE voting for Edwards is better. That idea is floating around too. That would skew the polls so out of whack the pollsters would be forced to admit the fraud.

It's within the 3 hours before the debate that it happened last time. I'll bet Freepers could compose some good DU letters. Here's mine:
Dear media person from list:

I thought that Senater Edwards showed the hes ready to take over as presedent if Kerry is elected presedent. Chaney is a mean old man and Edwards is smooth and goodlooking I hope he wins. Sure made up my mind in this debate. Please keep up the good work. Thanks!

Very truly, XXXX

Flood their emails with Edwards is a winner, then vote Bush in the online polls.
They won't know the Dems from us in the emails, and it is so personal it will tick them off because they will be flooded with thousands of emails.

I don't know. Last Thursday night was too busy fighting to keep sanity on the board to have a chance to fight Dem spin.

It's not even something I'd generally do, prefering my responses to be voluntarily and honest. However, war is ugly and post debate spin has become a war in itself. So guess they can count me in, provided we can control the number of "sky is falling" posts tonight.
