LIST CHENEY LIES HERE.
Both his statements and the documentation that the statement was false. List has to be sent to the media as soon as the debate is over.

5. he said the jobs figures are outdated
and then says they've created jobs this past year.

But those jobs were FAR below projections and still don't compare to those lost. Not ONE net job has been created under this administration!

13. Lying by omission

Cheney attacked Edwards' record in the Senate, rather than addressing Halliburton's circumenting of the Iran sanctions through offshore companies.

6. 34 countries vs. 30 countries
He's comparing countries who fought in 1991 to those who have offered their support this time around. If you counted countries who offered their support in 1991, as well as those who fought, it would be over 100 countries.

15. 34 country vs. 30 YES, total BULLSHIT! The 30 he's talking about
are countries like tonga and micronesia...We had Jordan and Egypt et. al. during the Gulf War.

18. Home of the Whopper : HALF of casualties are other COALITION members, BUT
Cheney is including Iraqis as members! I don't remember any Iraqis fighting alongside the U.S. on the blitzkrieg drive to Baghdad. But now Cheney is counting Iraqi deaths, many of which are the result of U.S. 1000 lb bombs.

22. Allied countries in the Gulf war
Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Honduras, Italy, Kuwait, Morocco, The Netherlands, Niger, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Korea, Spain, Syria, Turkey, The United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761551555/Persian_Gulf_War.html

"Beginning a week after the Iraqi takeover of Kuwait and continuing for several months, a large international force gathered in Saudi Arabia. The United States sent more than 400,000 troops, and more than 200,000 additional troops came from Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, France, Kuwait, Egypt, Syria, Senegal, Niger, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain. Other countries contributed ships, air forces, and medical units, including Canada, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Czechoslovakia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Poland, and South Korea. Still other countries made other contributions: Turkey allowed air bases on its territory to be used by coalition planes, and Japan and Germany gave financial support...

THAT'S a coalition!

Someone please get a list of the countries that contributed more than moral support during the Iraq invasion.

14. "900,000 small business...
...will be hit by increased taxes."

Well, if you count all the tiny investments all your multibillionaire buddies put their money in as "small businesses."

Own a racehorse? Then you're a small businessman! Own a stock car team? Then you are a small businessman! It doesn't matter that you are also richer than God himself...you are a small businessman!

27. Small businesses won't be hit unless they aren't incorporated
and frankly, if they aren't incorporated, they probably don't have enough income to fall into the top bracket.

If they do have enough net income to fall into the top tax bracket, they should incorporate, either as a C-Corp or as a LLC (Limited Liability Corporation). They pay themselves and their employees or partners a salary. Anything beyond salary and all business expenses remains corporate income at the following rates:

0 - $50K - 15%
50K - 75K - 25%
75K - 100K - 34%
100K - 335K - 39%
335K - $10Million - 34%

BTW, there are capital gains rates for corporate investments as well.

21. "Zarqawi was in Baghdad" before the invasion
Actually, Zarqawi was in Iraqi Kurdistan, with the US no-fly zone between him and Saddam's army. And, THREE TIMES over many months, the Bush White House VETOED specific Pentagon battle plans to annihilate Zarqawi's camp. NBC's Jim Miklaszewski reported this over seven months ago, at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4431601 . See also http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x974981

26. Number of Coalition Countries and Support in Iraq
In response to Edwards reiterating Kerry's statement that 90% of the cost and 90% of the casualties in Iraq are American and that we need more international support.

BTW, the actual number right now is about 140,000 American troops and approximately 20,000 coalition soldiers. Even on the White House site, IRAQ isn't listed as part of the coalition.

Yes, there are approximately 100,000 Iraqis have signed up to be part of their security force. The vast majority have received no more than 3 weeks training. Only 8,000 have received more than 3 weeks training. Iraqi casualties are not listed as coalition casualties, even if they are part of the coalition friendly Iraqi forces.
