Poll question: Does our momentum continue after this debate? |
|
Cheney was a more formidable challenger than Bush on Thursday, but I think Edwards equipped himself well. I think most will call it a draw. Does our momentum continue?

Where's ENRON? Where's Kenny Boy? Where's Cheney's secret energy task force? moderator vetted her questions with Rove for "SNOOZE FACTOR"! I believe people are nodding off to Dickie's monotone.... No fire in this at all!

9. Edwards brought up Enron. |
|
He compared Cheney/Halliburton to Ken Lay/Enron.

2. It depends on the media's interpretation |
|
From what I understand, VP debates usually have little to no effect on presidential elections. But I'm nervous about the potential for a media backlash against K/E that will use and back up Cheney's lies in order to bend over backward to look "fair" toward B/C, since Bush's performance was so clearly awful.
The cynical part of me expects the mainstream media to do exactly that.

K/E momentum will probably keep going where it is, but I don't see any real gain from this (OTOH, I don't see * gaining from it either)

5. No, it depends on the polling that will take place over the next 24 hours. |

7. I'm not pessimistic overall, though, because Kerry can pick it back up |
|
easily, no matter how the media attempts to spin this debate.

Do you feel just as passionate about getting Kerry/Edwards in our house this January, because I sure as hell am!
I don't see this having any effect. If Edwards was terrible maybe it would do a tiny ding, but he wasn't and it won't! Kathy

10. The pundits will spin towards Cheney, because they CAN this time.. |
|
I mean, the Bush debacle was soo bad, that it would have been too obvious to call it for Bush. This one was fairly even, so they'll call for Cheney, because the media whores want that 220K+ tax cut they've enjoyed under Bush/Cheney.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned so far is the advantage our side has on domestic issues. I believe Edwards held his own in this area.
Kerry's gonna rip Chimpy a new in this area. When he's done * won't have a problem with irregularity for a long time.
