From what I see.. no minds were changed tonight.. |
|
The Cheney folks like Cheney, as they did before.. the Edwards folks like Edwards, as they did before.
They came together, butted heads, basically re-stated the positions everyone already knows they hold, and that's that.
Like two 8 pound bowling balls bouncing off each other, they hit, then each roll of back their seperate ways. That's now a knock to either one of them. It is what it is.
Just my opinion.

1. A few minds were changed, according to a few online polls out there... |
|
...but I think what was more important was that Edwards was able to hammer away at the very spots where Cheney and Bush are weakest, i.e., Halliburton, poor health care plan, poor support for education, poor support for vets, tax support for outsourcing co.s, etc, etc! At least those points finally got nationwide (even global) attention!

2. I think Edwards will win over some voters over |
|
and Cheney will lose some over this debate.

4. That's a win for Edwards, even if that's the case. Cheney had to hit the |
|
ball out of the park in order to stop our momentum. And for Edwards to hold his own against Darth Vader is impressive. I actually Edwards won by just a tad, though.
