He took some swings. Both sides took some swings. But unlike the last debate when we were high-fiving each other and the right was shell-shocked, this one will have both sides feeling they won. I feel like we'll get some points when the fact checkers go to work to verify some of the claims that were made. However, even that will get lost in the shuffle. For example, the 200 billion cost for the Iraq War includes 75 billion that has been appropriated but hasn't been allocated yet. However, the point Edwards was making was that the first Gulf War only cost 5 billion. So if you say, fine 120 billion, it is still a huge increase from the last time.

On the flip side, counting Iraqis as part of the "coalition" casualties is a gross attempt to try to fudge the numbers. Unless you want to say that Iraq invaded itself.
