If this is seen as a draw then we've done well

I think Cheney did so well (relatively) because Bush was so terrible last week. Like another poster here said, this has set the bar higher for Bush. And Bush will once again tank.

1. There is no way this can come out as less than a draw
or marginal Edwards victory. The deed is done.

Mercifully, the clips benefit Edwards.

2. It was a draw, which is good for us, because Bush has lots of
splain'n to do on Friday. In addition, you're seeing the media overcompensate and praise cheney BECAUSE of bush's sucky performance in order to make it look like a tighter race. I agree with ya.

3. The whores on MSNBC are doing their damndest to make it appear
Cheney the Dick "obliterated" (in ScarWhoreOugh's words) Edwards - they just can't STAND it that Bush was totally DEFLATED in the last one.
Poor babies. Truth is SO hard to take.

5. Good thing nobody's watching then
they only had 1.2 million viewers last debate. CNN and Faux are what is important. How did Faux call it?

4. No draw- Edwards won - Cheney was mean and closed with fear.
Edwards went out of his way to be gracious about Mary Cheney and closed with hope and optimism. Edwards actually smiled - Cheney mostly sneered. He answered several questions by saying "The record speaks for itself" - No, it doesn't. Tell us.

True Cheney didn't smirk and he defended Bush and the administration. But Edwards clearly rattled him with the criticism of Halliburton and Cheney lashed out on something completely unrelated (Edwards' voting record). That is a "so's your mama" response and hardly a winning debate tactic.

6. and the voting record is such a strawman
because for chrissakes...Edwards has been running for president for over a year now. How can he campaign and still sit in the senate everyday? And like Leahy said on Hardball, Cheney only meets with Repukes when he visits the Senate.
