freepers advocate everyone voting edwards
to make polls look obviously bogus

right now, major polls are tracking anywhere from 80 - 20 to 90 - 10 in favor of Edwards.

Does that mean that without freepers, the 'pukes can only muster about 15% of the vote?

1. I'm afraid of that
The polls are ridiculous right now. Unless people really did react that badly to Cheney's Dr. Evil impersonation.

4. Whatever this debate doesn't matter
They must have pretty pathetic lives to go around sabotaging polls. Shouldn't they be busy making sure the government isn't too big or somethin?

6. That's their plan for the actual election too
They're going to advocate that everyone vote for Kerry instead of Bush so that when Kerry wins in a landslide they can say that the this whole election thing is bogus :dunce::wtf:

9. Agree, both points are true.
Remember, unlike us, Freepers use scripts, etc to hit polls multiple times ... some people say....

And, without their busy online efforts, the ordinary repubs, who only got the official memo, are only voting once, and maybe in 2 or 3 polls.

14. some people say???
You should see all the posts about, "how to dump your cookies and reset your modem so you can vote multiple times", that they post there!

Problem is that they actually believe the results of the polls that they know they 'freeped'!

They're as bright as the light inside your refrigerator with the door closed.

12. Sounds to me like the freepers are just trying to cushion the
blows to their egos and hedge their bets (look what we did we made the polls change). In fact what they will succeed in doing is shooting themselves in both feet. imho

They're fools. Plus, there aren't enough of them to make the polls this lopsided. Edwards won, period.

17. They are still lying When the polls go against them the polls don't count
When GW is ahead by 1% it is a decisive lead.

19. Not at all
In fact, last Thursday when I was doing all those polls after the pres. debate, there was one poll that had a confusing graphic and I accidently selected Dumbya as the winner. I was so horrified with myself! After that I slowed down and triple-checked to make sure I'd made the right selection.

23. Actually, maybe they should.....
Imagine if all the Freeps voted for Kerry, and Diebold STILL said Bush "won".

Then the Freeps would know it was rigged. But would they admit it?

24. Their numbers are exaggerated, as is their self-importance
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 01:23 AM by Calico_Janitor
When Iraq fiasco was at it's hottest point of buildup, protests against were in the 100,000s and c-span showed one of their pro-war rallies with less than a dozen freepers standing around. Big sound system though.

26. the idea was that the polls would be so out of whack
that the media pundits would discount them entirely

personally, I think they knew their guy lost and want to try to discredit the polls that make cheney's loss obvious.

29. Ha, this is like my friends and I in las Vegas
Intentionally wagering the wrong way when we think it's a potential benefit. The Stardust puts up the first betting numbers but has some ridiculously low limits, like $300 on basketball totals. When they put up a 147 over/under on a college basketball NCAA tournament game, for example, we might bet it up to 153 then wait for the major casinos and offshore betting groups to mimmick the Stardust number. Then we pounce on the under, the side we wanted all along but now much larger amounts and a far better number.

Admittedly, this worked quite a bit better a few years ago. They know our gag now.
