1. A few
1. The reply to Cheney's "I never met you" remark was good (ripping Cheney's stint in Congress) but he should have defended the Senate attendence thing. That was a powerful remark from Cheney. Of course, now we have proof that it was false, but it had to smart a little. Edwards should have given an example or two.

2. When talking about Kerry's Senate record (excellent thing to do), didn't mention BCCI (shutting down a corrupt bank that laundered terrorist money). BCCI needs to be mentioned.

I was disappointed in his performance.

He should've mentioned Bush's threat to veto the $87 billion. That would've shut down a lot of Cheney's attacks.

He should've been even STRONGER on the Al Qaeda/Iraq connections, or lack thereof.

He should've come back to the charge that he was somehow dissing the loss of Iraqi lives MUCH more strongly than he did.

He did OK. He missed many opportunities.

4. When Cheney said the voters of El Salvador...
refused to be stopped from voting, Edwards could have said "Well that's what we are going to do in Florida this time around. We won't be turned away again."

5. Not a zinger, but a perception
I wish John would have made Iraq more personal. Not just "90% of the loss of live, 90% of the cost" talking point(albeit a good one) but to humanize it. Should have talked about our dead and wounded.

Question: Why did administration cut VA funding now when we have so many wounded soldiers to take care of?
