Who do ou think won this round?

MSNBC seems to think Cheney did, but I don't think so. Thoughts?

1. John Edwards won the debate.

Cheney was only successful at keeping his human form in check for the duration of the debate.

2. At first watch, I thought it was close.... but

I watched it a second time, and Edwards was much better than the devil's hatchetman.

3. Cheney didn't do himself any favors. The people didn't like him.

What those polls with hundreds of thousands of votes show is that no matter what Joe Scarborough says, people don't like what they saw of Dick Cheney. He acted like a grumpy old man, and he just didn't connect with people. Edwards looked like he really cared about the American people, and that goes a long way.

PLUS, Cheney LIED.

4. Edwards won.

Not by a huge margin, though, and I don't think it'll make a huge impact on polls.

In short, it won't change much, so it really doesn't matter who won.

Cheney was his predictable, lying self. Edwards let some DYNAMITE come backs slip by. :(

7. I'm watching the replay on CNN right now

And Edwards is coming off a lot better than he did the first time I watched it. Could be because I was nervous for him. Could have been the margaritas I was drinking. They are totally on the same level. Edwards is hitting back hard, and Cheney is making his boss look like a two-brain celled chimp.

Also, the moderator just asked about "American intelligence", which I actually thought was quite ironic.

Also, I think Edwards didn't bother to answer the "we've never met" charge because he knew someone was going to find it and make Cheney look like an asshole. There's a difference between "we never met" and "I don't remember meeting you because you're just not that importnat."

Also, hello? Edwards has been absent from Congress? Bush spends half his time in Texas, and Cheney spends most of his in a bunker somewhere. These people, I swear to GOD, have no shame.
