It is my opinion that Edwards closing statement won the debate for him |
|
and I believe it is why the polls are off the charts showing him clearly winning this debate. That, mixed with Cheney lies...means...we have a winner! :-)
I really liked Edwards tonight and I feel many Americans who may not be as familiar with him as I am, liked what they saw as well.

That's why I thought people were getting carried away expecting Edwards' trial skill to help him crush Cheney. Lawyers don't get cross examined, they don't go back and forth. But they're great at speaking without time constraints, looking people in the eye, and making that emotional appeal. Prior to the closing statement, I thought a lot of people would see Edwards as behind on points. But that speech was hundreds of times better than Cheney's, even if Cheney sounded stronger early on with the specifics of the defense issues.

was amazing. I think you're right about the positive impression it left on people. Edwards makes people hope. Cheney makes people tired and frustrated.

2. Seriously, the Head Start, MLK, Mandella, Plastic Guns, DoE line won it. |
