Musab Al Zarqawi isn't in Baghdad,he's in Fallujah!
Cheney said that Zarqawi is in Baghdad now. Does Cheney really not know where Musab Al Zarqawi is,or was Cheney deliberately lying about Zarqawi's current location in order to tie him more closely to Baghdad, and Saddam,by making Baghdad his base of operations both then, and now?

1. cheney didn't know what he was talking about
How about the use of the discredited castor bean production facility story?

He was pulling out all the stops on the pre-Iraq war bullshit psyops.

2. He was a disinformation blizzard.
I believe that he knew what he was doing. I only wish Edwards had said, "Zarqawi isn't in Baghdad,he's in Fallujah".

3. He may be dead
He may have both legs...or he may only have 1 leg. bushCartel say just 1 leg; intell agencies say he has both legs.

He may be alive...or he may be dead. Iraqis reported Zqarqawi killed by US bombs on Kurdistan during the invasion.

He may be in Iraq...or he may be in Timbuktu.

Cheney the dick doesn't know; bush doesn't know; the US military doesn't know. Zarqawi knows...but he ain't saying.

4. THANK YOU
I kept saying that under my breath while Cheney kept saying, "he's in Baghdad now..." IF HE'S IN FREAKIN' BAGHDAD, THEN WHY DO WE KEEP BOMBING THOSE HOUSES IN FALLUJAH TRYING TO KILL HIM??

7. Cheney spoke mainly about the period BEFORE the US invasion. But Zarqawi
But Zarqawi was not in Baghdad THEN either--he was in Iraqi Kurdistan, a region long controlled by the US! Zarqawi was separated and protected from Saddam's army by dozens of miles of US "no fly zone". And, on top of that, until 18 months AFTER 9/11, George W. Bush's National Security Council THREE TIMES vetoed specific Pentagon battle plans to obliterate Zarqawi's camp from the air. See http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4431601/ . Before the invasion, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was under the protection of GEORGE W. BUSH, not Sassam Hussein!

8. Cheney repeatedly said Zarqawi is in Fallujah now.
I was able to watch the debate late last night. I first heard it on the radio while driving around. Cheney said, "Zarqawi set up shop in Baghdad, and he's still there today". A few moments later he said that, "Zarqawi is in Baghdad today" In last night's debate Cheney repeatedly placed Zarqawi as being in Baghdad now. This was an outright, and easily checked lie.

11. I know what you mean--Cheny said Z was in BAGHDAD now. But where
Zarqawi is NOW cannot be used to justify a US invasion many months ago. Cheney wants to use an allegedly close relationship between Zarqawi and Saddam as a pretext for a US invasion to avenge 9/11. But, actually, it was George W. Bush, not Saddam, who protected Zarqawi's al-Qaeda camp for 18 months AFTER 9/11. The White House wanted to have some "terrorists" to point to "in Iraq", as a pretext for invasion. But it did not realize it was protecting the very group that would turn around and kill and maim thousands of American invaders. 9. Cheney shot himself in the foot with that whole answer
Talking about how Zarqawi is such a bad guy, and how he's still in Iraq, just reinforces the point that Bush/Cheney have been totally ineffectual at dealing with the supposed terrorists in Iraq.

If anyone with an open mind had the patience to listen to that answer, they didn't come away with a good impression of the current administration.

10. Exactly,that whole answer was bogus.
Except for the part about Zarqawi checking into a Baghdad hospital,Cheney's whole answer was bogus. Is this all they've got to make their Saddam/Zarqawi connection?

12. Why "except for"?
The CIA has long said they believe he did NOT check into any Baghdad hospital and in fact still has both his own legs.

13. I hadn't heard that.
I was just going by the official version. If Zarqawi didn't even check into that Baghdad hospital, then they have nothing.

14. I wouldn't run with this one. He probably IS in Bagdhad
If he is in Falluja then he kidnaps people from outside Falluja, smuggle them into Falluja to hold them, then beheads them and smuggles the bodies out of Falluja to leave them right outside Bagdahd (where they've turned up).

Or else he's just in Bagdahd in the first place--a much easier place to hide, really.

*Assuming* he exists and is the guy in the beheading videos it is unlikely that he is in Falluja.
