Edwards wins among Uncommitted
Per a CBS Poll, Edwards won among the Uncommitted (41% to 28%)

The remainder thought it was a tie.

Hope the DNC uses the debate tonight to run some ads to display Cheney for what he truly is: a liar.

1. Not surprising in the least
Cheney only reached the deepest and most partisan part of his base with that performance. Sadly, (for Republicans anyway) it was something he desperately needed to do.

The Republicans needed to get off the defensive tonight. I think they failed.

There will be a LOT of pressure on Bush Friday because of it.

2. Actually, he upset some of that base
You realize that elements of the Christian Right blame homosexuality on parenting? And that not all the loony wingnuts have known that Cheney has a lesbian daughter? And regardless of whether the loons knew or didn't know, some of them will hold it against him that Cheney didn't publically denounce his daughter.

Sad, I know.

3. Yeah, but that base
has looked past Cheney's inconsistencies on the whole gay issue before. I think they will (for the most part) again.

In the foreign policy debate he was preaching VERY much to his base and not reaching anyone in the middle.

6. no doubt
Edwards presented vision of hope.
Cheney was mean-spirited fear-mongerer.
