Kerry wins, we take back the Senate (52-48), and we oust DeLay!
After this Edwards debate, and after Friday, I think we will have built a solid lead in the Presidential race!
If the current polls are any indicator, we have a very good chance of winning back the Senate, possibly by 2 or 3 seats. Alaska, North Carolina, and Colarado are close, but we are slightly ahead. Carson is pulling away in Oklahoma, and Tennenbaum (I predict) is gonna start pulling away in South Carolina. DeMint continues to provoke controversy with his blatant anti-anyone-but-himself views. Castor in Florida looks very good right now, as well as Obama in Illinois (that's an understatement). Daschle is in a tough fight with Thune, but I think he will pull ahead in the end. Zell Miller's spot looks like the only tight race we're down in right now, but Majette is closing in.
As far as DeLay (God, do I hate this SOB), I think his lead was single digits
before all those indictments were handed down. I'd be curious to see what the polls are showing now. Richard Morrison is a good congressional candidate to donate to, as well:
http://www.richardmorrisonfordistrict22.com/With DeLay out of the House, that would be fantastic. If we can take the Presidency and the Senate, removing DeLay would make things run much smoother.
...And I almost forgot, we will pick up 1 to 3 governorships this election, which means it is possible to even those out at 25-25.
Plus, the election of John Kerry would mean 2-3 appointments for the SCOTUS!
If this isn't the most important election in our lifetime, than I don't know what is!! Get out and volunteer, donate, do ANYTHING YOU CAN!! We can turn this country 180 degrees on Nov. 2!!!
