Let the negative posts about the VP debate sink!

The positive posts far outweigh the negative ones. Everyone has the right to an opinion, for sure. But it seems that the negative posts are by new DU members.

I am not responding to the negative ones, esp. by newbies. Let 'em sink!

How can anyone here consider Cheney to have been the winner when the views he espouses are (or should be) diametrically opposed to everything we stand for ? And that is not even taking his baldfaced lies into account.

Dissent is fine, but what is this based on?

Edwards did a great job. He went round for round with the heavy weight in a tough and contentious debate. He had great command of the facts and managed to keep his composure.

Cheney was boring and he lied allot.

The Bush/Kerry debate was so much fun b/c of the Bush meltdown. But you can't expect that kind of interest every time.

I am far from being a newbie and I am one of those who believe the debate didn't go fantastically well for us. Oh, Edwards didn't "completely blow it" nor did Cheney "run away with it" however Edwards was weak in the beginning, and Cheney definitely handed him points with his non-answers, or complete lack of answers, late in the event.
