NYC DUers Watch Debate

A special note of thanks to LionessP and LionTamer for opening up their home for us to view the debate. The five story hike was worth the trip to see the debate and the kittens! Aquart, Cassandra, Jess, LionessP, LionTamer, Speedo, Thomcat and myself watched cranky, old Crashcart snarl his way through 90 minutes. On the style question, Cheney spoke into his chest while Edwards flashed his million dollar smile. As for substance, the truth squad is out and about today first on the claim Cheney never "met" Edwards. I've also heard some grumbling about Cheney denying he ever said anything about a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. I believe over the next few days as these outright lies or misstatements begin to circulate around the water cooler that Cheney is toast. We're meeting up Friday night to watch the second debate at a bar called Raven somewhere downtown. If any DUers are in NYC Friday night, y'all are welcome to join us.

his hands and getting very angry and tired towards the end. Wish it could have gone on another half an hour.
