So not only did he lie about not meeting Edwards, the whole premise of his "gotcha" was flawed, because Edwards would have a difficult time "meeting" Cheney even if he were willing to risk some of the slime rubbing off. Apparently Leahy ("Cheney you, Dick!) pointed this out during the "spin cycle" following the debate.
