Eyes, Dreamy Smile Get High Marks Post-Debate

In a poll taken just hours after Tuesday’s debate between Sen. John Edwards and Vice President Dick Cheney, the percentage of likely voters who think that the Democratic vice presidential nominee is a total hunk has surged to record levels, with fifty-one percent agreeing that the senator is even sexier than they recalled.

The CNN/USA Today poll, with a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points, also reveals that forty-seven percent of likely voters now believe that Sen. Edwards is the sexiest man alive, putting the nominee in a statistical dead heat with the actor George Clooney.

Perhaps in reaction to the poll numbers, Vice President Cheney gave an impromptu press conference after the debate in which he attempted to warn the American people against falling for Mr. Edwards’ seductive charms.

“Don’t be fooled by Senator Edwards,” Mr. Cheney cautioned the electorate. “He’s not that into you."
