There is *no way* even the dumbass media could fall for this. It's a campagin speech.

But CNN in the bottom bar is calling it a major speech.

WTF is going on?

44. A Lot Of People Believe This Bullshit
Amazing how this regime has made that lie stick so deep with people. Many don't realize how bad that market collapse...precipitated by Enron, Worldcom & the overall shakeout of billions in worthless pensions, dividends and other benefits. This happened right after this regime took office and got very cloudy once those planes hit near Wall Street. How convenient.

9/11 didn't gut the high tech jobs that now are being outsourced to India and China in my neighborhood, and most people around here know it...their "For Sale" signs on their houses are testimony. 9/11 didn't cause the wholesale fleecing of the middle class by the big banks and investment houses as they drove up stock prices and played all sorts of phony money speculation games...it was the "market capitalism"...the trickle down crap that came home to roost.

Sorry...too much coffee this morning and the manchild is still droning on. This moron looks more stupid every day...and that's hard considering this bastard long set the benchmark for the Idiot's Test years ago.

63. I need a major operation, thank god I have $300 in my MSA!
Can't people already do this now as a supplement to their insurance to buy prescription drugs or pay for other medical expenses tax free? Isn't it understood by now that MSA's are a nice supplement to insurance but not a substitute for it? I'm sure your average worker living from check to check isn't going to be able to sock away enough money in these accounts to pay for more than at very most a couple doctor's visits for themselves let alone visits and tests for themselves and their dependents.

Why don't they just state their real position : "We don't care that some people don't have health insurance. We think that people who don't have it must be losers who do not deserve it." Because if you believe that people have a right to decent health care, it's real simple, you give them insurance coverage. You don't tell them to save money they don't have and never will have to pay for their health care.

Good luck getting support for that, even from Republicans.

I contacted my Repub. Senators, and though I only got a response from one (this was back when these suggestions of postponing/canceling the elcetion first came out) Sen. Talent(MO) actually said he would NOT support postponing/canceling the election. If Talent won't support it, it won't get support.

WTF? Really, this is beyond shameless. Still, his ass is going to be ours when he is plucked from that safe, manicured environment and placed in a room full of citizens of all pursuasions.

When the History channel is doing their one hour documentaries on "The Last Days of George W. Bush", they're going to include this speech as a desperate attempt to convince the media to put him on the air. There is nothing presidential about this, this is a campaign speech.

Kerry should demand equal time. He's due it.

40. This is the definition of facade
The line is drawn in the sand. If this man can't stand up and get in front of America without stumbling like an idiot with out a Karen Hughes, Rove-written speech, he does not deserve to be president. A million people could get up and give a pre-written speech better than this man.

The fact is that he had to whine for a do-over. His whole imagined persona, and this campaign relied on two things: that Bush was tough and Iraq was necessary. Kerry and Edwards have popped both like a balloon.

I can see the whirlpool swimming around Chimpy's head as he's sucked down the drain.

Poor little Busholini made an ass out of himself -- dropped the ball -- during the debate -- needs pre-scripted propaganda speech -- I can barely type through the tears of laughter.

I will say though, if the Dems don't pounce on this Mulligan like Cheney on a nickel, they are missing a great opportunity.
