They sent 40,000 [US] troops into Iraq without the body armor they needed. |
|
My favorite of Edwards' statements in the debate.
Makes me wonder how repugs can continue to use the talking point about how K/E voted against the $87 billion for the troops for supplies and whatnot (and this even after Bush threatened to VETO the $87 billion if he didn't get his way!)... when you know it's going to be pointed out that THEY SENT THEM INTO HARMS WAY UNPREPARED! No planning - for either the invasion OR an exit strategy. No WMD's... these guys are unbelievable.

1. We've forgotten a lot of the early stuff. |

How the supply lines were too thin and even food was getting short. No armor for Humvees. Not enough of the type of weaponry you need for guerilla warfare. Bad intel. On and on. He made a good point that resounds with people.

I hope it gets more notice... my LTTE's have never been picked... but this seems like a good subject to try again with. :)

LTTEs are published as a percentage of responses (at least, in ETHICAL papers they are), so it does matter what side you support when you write.

Latin / hip hop / rock / middle eastern fusion. The ME is on this last CD, at least. (Street Signs)
Awesome stuff, IMO. :)

I like a lot of the Putamayo discs. Sounds like much the same thing. Are you familiar with Monsoon, the mid-80's English band that did Indian-influenced rock? Sheila Chandra was the lead singer. Also very cool.
(Hmmmmm... this is starting to turn into a Lounge discussion...)

I'll always remember how Cheney kept lying about the troops not having bullets under Clinton back in 2000. Made me sick.

They sent them in without even enough TROOPS do do the job... I think Edwards won the debate, but if he'd said ALL THIS, I'd have been MUCH more impressed.
