Bush* speech is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT political
This is horseshit that he gets full coverage on a political speech. Before a screened crowd of his adorers.

11. Demand equal time for Kerry to rebut these LIES
lies lies lies lies lies

And the media won't cut away from it no matter how long it goes on. Kerry MUST be given equal time.

6. Maybe the Mulligan speech is later and this is just a rally?
I understand only the cable outlets are carrying it. They carry Kerry rallies too, don't they?

Perhaps his Mulligan speech is later today and we are jumping the gun on this.

12. A mulligan is a "do-over" in golf.
Only AMATEURS take mulligans. Professionals do it right the first time.

15. Mulligan is a golf term for a "do-over"
Make a bad golf shot and you get (in friendly games) a Mulligan - that is, you don't count that shot and just take another one.

Bush's speech is his Mulligan for his total screwup of the debate.

18. It's a term in golf
that means do-over. If you have a bad shot, you can pull a Mulligan and re-do the shot.

22. Okay.....
Thanks, everyone! As you may have figured out, I don't play golf. If I did, though, I'd probably have to do many Mulligans!

10. Only C-Span carries Kerry rallies. Thats why the first time that many
folks had really heard Sen. Kerry speak at length was during his recent debate.

24. I don't think so, I think this is the speech and this is their way ....
of getting coverage. Annouce it is a major speech and voila! the press coverage is unprecedented!

28. I agree with you 100%
At first, I was pissed that they would be covering this and knowing that they would cover it from the cheering start to the idolizing finish. Pissed because yesterday when Kerry gave a speech (that I didn't realize was going to happen--where was the heads up from the media on that one?), caught it after it was already 15 or 20 minutes into it and then they cut away. Pissed because not even CSPAN was carrying it.

So, with all of the heads up since yesterday about Bush's speech today, and the media complicitly overlooking the flim-flam in changing the topic of the speech...I thought I can't bear to watch another Bush production post-debate.

Then...as they started coverage it was soooooo obvious what was going on. The cheers and overly long applause from worshipers when he walked out only served to highlight on the crowd was carefully screened. No dissenters in that group.

The jokes, heheh guffas, and thank you's from Bush to selected applause line generators (including the swell of hoots and hollers when he thanked 'the grassroots' people) can only open the eyes of any one sitting on the fence what this administration and campaign is all about...a flim-flam. Lies. Distortion. Misrepresentation.

I felt better about it, actually. Showed everyone watching what a loser this guy really is. The camera wasn't lying. But the man in front of it was.

After 10 minutes, I switched to QVC! LOL!

9. Don't bitch about the coverage. Use the coverage to make * backfire.
Something like,

"The Bush campaign arranges a major campaign speech for Wednesday morning, and the best the President can do is give the same old stump speech, with the same old Kerry-bashing and the same old Republican spin fantasy? What's new here?"

13. No. This coverage needs to be "bitched" about. Sen. Kerry is *never*
given free airtime to speak without talking heads speaking over him.

'Kerry has a plan for Iraq, It's called the bush* plan' Yea, go fuck yourself george. It's so easy to talk when the audience has been screened and they are ALL ON YOUR SIDE.

20. Is this appearing on anyone's network channels?
Not here (S.W. Arkansas/N.W. Louisiana). It is only on the usual cable news networks, e.g. CNN & Faux.

I checked all the locals and this is not being carried locally. If it is on some local network channels, I think it should be protested and/or Kerry be given equal time.
