5. This makes it even better!

If Soros had quickly snatched up the domain last night after Cheney's mistake, it would just be politicking (although very cool politicking!). The fact that Cheney inadvertantly referred to an existing Soros site is much funnier, I think.

9. perhaps, but its difficult to quantify when and if there was a change

in the DNS record. Since there's no way to look at "archives" of entries. Once the serial number has been changed and the server rolled over, all of the root servers start taking the new information.

However, you really can't look at that serial number... if you can, then I don't know the dig command for it.

10. The real factcheck.org has been down all day!

I've checked on and off since about 7:00AM this morning. First I got the message that the site was too busy, now it just says it cannot be displayed, and may be experiencing technical difficulties!
