Finally!! Rush weighs in on the VP debate
I just heard this on my way back from going home for lunch.

Are you ready?

Are you sure?

.
.
*-notes at the bottom
.
.
paraphrased (I can't take notes in the car)
.
.
.
John Edwards only had 25 minutes of material and when he finished saying it the first time he just kept repeating it* no matter what the question was. Edwards just used stump speech talking points and reiterated them as if they were true.

John Edwards finally found a client that he could not defend** that being John Kerry.

Rush prefaced all of this by reminding the dittoheads about how right he was last Friday in that after a while people will look back on the POTUS debate and realize that it was style vs. substance and in these uncertain times we don't need style we need the substance that W offers and displayed so evidently in Miami.***

The best post VP debate coverage was NOTon Fox but on NBC****. Brokaw, Russert, and Mathews correctly described how Cheney clearly destroyed the young Edwards. He pointed to Mike Barnacle's observation that it was like a father picking up his son after the first year of college and the son wanting to tell him everything he had learned and the father cutting him off and telling him doesn't know squat. Oh and Andrea Mitchell mentioning that the Cheney's DO love their daughter.

Rush saw no young JFK *****, no fresh face******, and no credibility in Edwards-"he has only been a Senator"******

I could go on but you get the picture.

*-"ironic" is a word that comes to mind.
**-Edwards wasn't a defense lawyer.
***-uh no, no substance whatsoever see*
****-It was MSNBC (he did actually say MSNBC later)
*****-Edwards is older than JFK was when JFK became President (Edwards IS 51- JFK was 43 when he became POTUS)
******-what about Fox News reporting about his haircut and pedicure? Didn't get the memo? Out of the loop?
*******-"only a Senator"

10. A Fl. appeals court rulled TODAY that the state got Rush's records
legally! I don't know how many judges are on the Fl appeals court, but there was only 1 dissenting judge in the ruling. Wolf just had this info on his show about 20 mis ago. He also played a tape of Rush on his radio show today, and he said his atty was going to appeal this to the next level because it wasn't a unamous decision.

4. Tweety and gang were the only ones to say Cheney won
and it was the instant that the debate was over they all chimed in except Ron Reagan as if it was planned. I mean it was too fast and too choreographed to be spontaneous and thoughtful.

I'm waiting to see Tweety eat a plate of crow tonight.

7. Like all repugs, he ascribes BUSH'S faults to Kerry/Edwards
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 11:55 AM by Inland
Repeating himself? That was Bush. Just like Kerry avoiding combat, and Edwards misses votes (Bush vacations), every Bush and Cheney failing gets ascribed, in Bizarro World fasion, to Kerry/Edwards! Rush can't even make up lies about the Two Johns that is as bad as the truth about the Two Dicks.

12. "Only a senator"
- that's rich. And * was "Only a governor" of a state where the governor has very little power.

It continually amazes me how one-sided they are. Seriously! It's like an art form!

13. What he does is repeat what is said about Bush but switches the names.
Some time today somewhere in America, some ditto heads will repeat Rush's BS as if it were fact from God when in reality it is just something he made up for today's show.

16. I use to Like Rush................back in the day
Back in Billy.C's first 1.5 terms he was funny to listen too. Now Rush just drinks down all of the GOPs Kool-Aid. The only time I listen now is when there is Good news for Kerry to hear Rush's Lies an spin. God I can not wait for Kerry to win this thing.

I think things are turning our way after a bad month. I think we can do this.

17. "like a father picking up his son..."
This is extremely telling on the young Rush Limbaugh.

Imagine the conversation Rush had with his father on the ride home from his first year at Southeastern Missouri State University.

The conversation was apparently so compelling to the young Rush that he never returned to college after his first year.

This has been a point of mine about them for years. They miss their Daddy.

A few months ago Hannity had a young woman from S.Dakota on over a two day period. She actually did a fairly good job against his tactics and Hannity was livid. After she finished several of the "Hannitized" called to recall lovingly how their fathers beat their political and social ideals into them. Serious it was a corporal punishment fest. I don't have a huge problem with spanking ( I was) but not to instill a mindset, that is called torture.
