Why isn't Kucinich.com owned by Dennis?
Here is what Kucinich.com shows:

"Welcome to the Kucinich.com! You'll find everything you need to know about the congressman from Ohio's 10th district and now, snicker, a presidential candidate. If you like what Dennis did for Cleveland, you'll love what he can do for the country! This site is dedicated to keep you up to date on the latest antics of Dennis the Menace. "

1. Same reason
http://www.dean.com/ isn't owned by Dean. It's called who gets to it first.

6. Kucinich should buy them out
That's the first place people go and he looks foolish.

5. You certainly do like to post
things that will offend Kucinich supporters, don't you?

Just observing a trend here.:eyes:

7. You are really touchy...
I'm just surprised Dennis was beaten to the punch on this one.

10. No, there's actually only one thing about Kucinich
I'm "touchy" over, and this moran's stuff isn't it.

I was noting that you've come to a couple of threads where Kucinich was being amicably discussed just to toss out an insult, and then you post graphics from what is obviously a very poorly executed smear site as if you think none of us have heard of it before.

Gee, can't imagine why I might get the idea you're hoping to make one of us angry.

16. You could have...
A) Answered the question
B) Admitted not registering Kucinich.com was a mistake
C) Proposed a way to claim the URL (ie: buyout)
D) Laughed at it- it's pretty ridiculous...we have to laugh at ourselves every once in a while. I can laugh at Dean, for example:

19. Ah but I did answer the question.
Before I responded to your added content, no less.

Admit it was a mistake not to buy a domain name you didn't know you'd need? I ask a lot from my candidate, clairvoyance isn't one of those things.

Buy it out? The guy who owns it isn't about to sell. He's gotten too much publicity out of it and he's nursing some bizarre obsession with Kucinich.

Laugh at it? Well sorry but the graphics you chose to post didn't tickle my funny bone. There was one a couple of months ago I laughed at, something about the worst Kucinich hairdo and some well-drawn charicatures with off the wall 'dos.

13. Are they really?
Yeesh, some very bored GOPers from the sound of it. I guess with Unca Georgie lining your pockets there's no real need to work, hmmm?

I haven't been there in months because it's a waste of time, plus there are a lot more interesting things to be reading online that that drooler's dribblings.

22. I sense the same sort of barely concealed hostility
towards Dennis by the original poster of this thread. But it isn't the sort of thing that warrants all this heat. If we can't handle a lot WORSE, we can't really claim to be grown-ups.

That Dennis didn't think of registering likely domains, or that he isn't taking legal action in this, neither surprises nor dismays me. Reportedly, Karl Rove registered or bought up many DOZENS of potentially "damaging" websites in advance of the 2000 Election. That's Dubya; this is Dennis. It's a matter of resources and priorities.

In any event, it falls within the broad category of "good-natured" political humor. Would ANYONE here pass up a similar shot at Dubya, if they had a chance?

4. Because some screw-ball
and exceedingly juvenile GOPer with a grudge against him snatched it up as soon as he read about the Draft Kucinich movement. Since Dennis hadn't decided whether to run yet he wasn't considering needing domain names when this kook bought it.

And believe me he IS a kook! Read some of the stuff they post on the message-board over there. One poster professes to be running for Congress, and lemme tell ya, I wouldn't vote for him if there ws a gun to my head after reading his posts there.

15. Because it's a legitimate question
I was just taken aback that Kucinich didn't register this site. It's damaging to his candidacy. At very least, they could contest this in court.

On a separate note, why are you Kucinich people so defensive? I thought some of you might give a reason for this, explain it, maybe even have a laugh.

20. Yes, as mud
...Kucinich could use all the avenues at his disposal. He's sure as heck not going to get any play from mainstream media. He should be all over the Net. People default to .com. No one associates with "company" or commercial. It was a missed opportunity and he is being lampooned mercilessly there.

17. Want to have some fun with republicans?
Go post something anti-republican on the kucinich.com message board, they flip out. (I hear... not that I've ever done that... in fact I've never been to that site at all... ahhh.. alright I admit it, I've teased republicans there more than once)

Looks like someone posted the O'Neil story over there recently... bet that will get their goat :-)

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.
