3. Didn't Dr. Phil also feature W and Laura on another show?
Maybe he's just resurrecting that old "equal time" principle. I'm guessing the Kerrys will do better than the Bushes...but won't be able to say for sure because I don't plan to watch. Dr. Phil kinda...well, he kinda creeps me out lately, for many reasons.

DEFEAT BUSH!!

6. The parts I saw were actually pretty good
Very favorable for Kerry, who speaks about parenting and his divorce. It wasn't political at all and Dr. Phil and his wife were very complimentary to John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry.

7. Hey ... much as I hate Dr. Phil, a lot of people watch him, and buy
his psychobabble! A LOT of people. And Dr. Phil is giving the thumbs-up all over the place to Kerry -- says he's impressed with him.

If it sways a few undecideds, it's friggin' worth it.

That's WHY.

I'm sure she was in bed before any of the debates and she loves Dr. Phil.

11. Teresa just told how she was a "witch" with her children about television.
(And true to our Teresa, she didn't friggin' care that she was talking to Mister Television, Dr. Phil! LOL!)

She told how she let them watch only a half-hour of TV a day (Wild Kingdom, Misterrogers, something educational) and one hour per week of what they wanted to watch. But then they had to write a paragraph about why they liked that show.

Wow. I wish my mom had done that. I watched WAY too much TV as a kid.

Explains why her kids are so intelligent and well-spoken (and why Andre is multilingual like his mom).

12. It was a nice interview
John and Teresa came off very well.

As for Dr. Phil and Robin, well it's a pretty bizzare world when the politicians come off as more genuine and likeable than the TV shrink. Oh hell, maybe I'm just being snarky because I just spent taxpayers money for two copies of his latest book and they're sitting on the library shelf.

It should help with the soccar moms and that's a good thing.

13. Dr. Phil and Mrs. Phil say John and Teresa "get it" ...
... that they believe the Kerrys understand what American families go through. Both of the "Phils" said they were very impressed with the Kerrys.

I think this will definitely sway some people, because Dr. Phil has a LOT of fans!

14. FABULOUS Interview on Dr. Phil!
John and Teresa both came across as extremely genuine. He seems like he was a great dad (and that's what we want in a leader). Dr. Phil and his wife seemed honestly impressed with them, and the whole thing really made me like them even more! :)

16. NO ORAL SEX???
That dipstick Phil nailed the Bushies with a question about the epidemic of oral sex in middle school, and doesn't that make parenting more difficult. Weecowboy and Laura looked a bit glazed at that line of questioning.

Jon Stewart did a funny bit on it--he suggested that it wasn't an epidemic, it was a GODSEND...

17. Damn ... my local NBC affiliate used only the clip from the Dr. Phil
Kerry interview that showed him talking about his divorce, and how he felt his first wife did such a fantastic job of mothering his daughters, and how she made up for his shortcomings as a father, which he acknowledges.

I wish they'd shown better clips, with better context.

18. VERY GENUINE!
Watching it I felt how genuine Kerry is as a father and how much fun he is. His daughters are lucky to have him as a dad. I think Dr. Phil showed this clearly through the questions and his response.
