Delicious: The lie he LEAST had to tell, and it's getting the most play.

Cheney's remark about Edwards' attendance in the Senate was a throw away - a petulant, belittling insult that added nothing of any substance to the debate. No one would have noticed if he'd never said it.

Those Halliburton/Medicare/Economic dueling statistics are perhaps too esoteric for Mr and Mrs Undecided Voter, BUT - in a karmic payback for the empty calories they've been feeding the American public for four years, the emptiest lie of them all is the one with the legs - the one that the average American could most easily recognize AS a lie.

I repeat, channeling Phil Hartman as Bill McNeil: "Delicious..."

2. The media is giving Cheney the "James Lee Witt" treatment! Sweet!
Remember when Al Gore mistakenly said that he had visited flood-ravaged Texas with James Lee Witt (FEMA Director)? That, too, was an insignificant throwaway line, but the moment it was found to be incorrect, the media started a feeding frenzy, eroding voters' confidence in Gore and ignoring more important issues in the debates.

Vice-President Cheney, you reap what you sow.

3. What does that say about people?
I just love that film they're showing of Cheney sitting next to Edwards at a banquet. And I don't think that will be the end of it. But it is very sad that it's not the lie about Iraq that will bring him down, but a lie that most would consider trivial by comparison.

4. It says that even as jaded as we are...
cheney's level of rudeness was so shocking it makes a dent in people's psyche.

5. hoist with their own petard
just like Gore got pilloried for "the girl without a desk" anecdote and meeting with the assistant chairperson when he claimed he met with the chairperson, this trivial piece is easy to repeat.

7. Just like when "Dime Bag" said Bush* wrote her a poem and left
it on her pillow. She gushed on and on about it, about her being called "that lump in the bed" and how she dropped Barney the dog. More than a month later on National TV she said none of it was true. A lie for no reason at all.

9. How many times did Deadeye Dick's terrorism commission meet before 9-11?
That would be zero.

They ignored Clinton, Berger, Hart-Rudman, Tenet and all sorts of people, because they wanted to cut a deal with the Taliban for a pipeline. Cheney simply doesn't remember Edwards because he has absolutely no regard for non-Republicans. (Well, that's if he isn't lying...)

Between fundraisers, assorted conniving, ginning up excuses for world conquest and endless vacations to kill thousands (literally, I kid you not) of small birds, Cheney has barely enough time to tend to the business of the megawealthy; don't bother him with RESPONSIBILITY, that's the concern of peons.

There are none so blind as those who will Nazi.
