1. Democracy Now this morning was incredible

Amy Goodman had several guests on her show and took Cheney completely apart. Most interesting was their debunking of yet another Cheney lie about the 75,000 civilians killed in El Salvador during an election to which Cheney says he was sent as an observer. Apparently, there is no evidence to back up that allegation and, in fact, thousands of civilians were killed by right wing death squads funded and trained by the CIA. Cheney was apparently neck deep in Iran Contra and his comparisons of Central America with Iraq and Afghanistan are very interesting and should be fully explored by progressives to learn the true mindset of this administration.
