The CNN Memory Wipe didn't accomplish much. |
|
Here's what it shows at 2:35 CDT:
Vice President Dick Cheney 37% 51129 votes Sen. John Edwards 63% 88275 votes Total: 139404 votes This would seem to mean that the Edwards lead is holding after the first blush last night. This is no longer an "instant" result.

Dick Cheney ripped off his skin to show us his true, reptillian overlord form, and CNN pulled out their Men in Black mind-eraser pen.
Thank God it looks like America is finally smart enough to wear sunglasses.

2. Ya think they'll dump the new poll, too? |
|
Or do you think they'll realize we're on to them?

5. Wonder if they're going to revise their story (results are "split"). |
|
There story today mentions the ABC poll (Cheney) and the CBS poll (Edwards). Now, they do mention that the ABC poll was weighted towards Republicans, and the CBS one was all undecideds. But I don't for the life of me see how that then translates as a "split" result.
ABC's poll included 7% more Repubs than Dems (38-31%). Cheney won the poll by 8% (43-35%). Well, that's what one would expect now, isn't it?
CBS's poll included undecideds only, and Edwards won 41 to 28%.
Now, when CNN's second consecutive online poll has Edwards way ahead, do you think they're going to at least mention it?

6. Results when I voted at 2:52 CDT |
|
Edwards, 93108 / 63%
Chenney, 54044 / 37%
Did they change their minds and repost the current results? Was this just a glitch and not a Tin Foil Moment?

11. I've been thinking about this poll business, and think some here are being |
|
harsh on CNN. They probably had some technical goof up. After all, if they wanted to fake a poll, they could do a little bit of code and have it do something like add 2 votes for Cheney on every vote for Edwards. In other words, if they really wanted to pull something Orewellian, they'd do it, and we probably wouldn't be able to tell, and it wouldn't look this "clumsy" by having the poll reset itself etc. etc.
