My message to them: Will you, or will you not hand out provisional ballots to those who mistakenly show up at the wrong precinct?
Their response:

>No, we cannot according to state law & HAVA. They will be instructed where to go to vote in their right precinct. Would you want someone to vote on issues that would affect you and not them?? > >Fulton County Board of Elections >Gloria Marlatt, Director >Kathy Meyer, Deputy Director >419-335-6841 (phone) >419-337-2363 (fax)
on edit: Have any of you voted on provisional ballots in Ohio in the past??

1. That is the correct response. |
|
That precinct may not include the ballots that include local issues that are pressing to the voter.
In Florida, the "wrong" precinct will fill out a "Precinct Information for Provisional Ballot" form and will send the voter on their way to the correct precinct.

5. Were you in the right precinct? |
|
If you insist you're in the right precinct, they can issue a provisional ballot. The key is INSISTENCE. But you have to be sure that you're right. Voting in the wrong precinct intentionally is a felony.

Down ballot items can be very specifically relates to a ward or precinct.
I don't want people without resident statuse voting in my precinct. It undecuts my voting power.
the Only peple who should be handing out provisionals are the county el;ection clerk.......
