Bush's Dilemma. It's Hilarious.
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 04:52 PM by David Zephyr
George Bush who had his ass whipped in front of 65 million Americans during the first 2004 presidential debate faces a real dilemma:

He must now appear alert, erect, factual and very, very aggressive in the next debate to counter his dismal, lackluster performance last week during which he slouched and slumped on his podium and whined like the spoiled rich crybaby that he is.

The problem?

If he becomes a pit bull, Americans will remember the many, many grimaces, smirks and petulant faces that Georgie displayed in anger last Thursday while Kerry was speaking.

It's a no win for Bushie.

The lady that cuts my hair told me that her husband who is very conservative turned against Bush because "the president should not be behaving like that in a serious forum where school children were watching."

How does Bush attack Kerry without reminding Americans of the scowling jackass that they witnessed first hand last week?

Well, that's Karl Rove's problem, isn't it?

4. Good Observation.
And if Bush does "change from debate to debate", even the corporate media heads will pick up on it...and more importantly, the American people.

8. Actually it is even worse than that now that Cheney came out as competent
but a liar whereas Edwards came out competent but mentioned Kerry's name over 20 times...the pressure is on Bush now but he has to defend his record on live TV...try to look competent and can't use phrases like fuzzy math this time around...he' truly fucked

13. I Soooo Agree.
He can't win. He is truly f@*#ked. And you make the good point that he can't even try to make his little cutsie jokes (like fuzzy math) because no one is tuning in for jokes from this fool.

I just don't see how he can win. He's in a box.

11. I LOVE that line!
"the president should not be behaving like that in a serious forum where school children were watching."

Couldn't agree more. He is an embarrassment to the nation and his presence in that position is an affront to the democratic process. Not something schoolchildren should have to observe.

14. That's Exactly What She Told Me.
And I've heard her talking about her hubbie and his conservatism for years. She told me, "David, I couldn't wait to you." She is a terrific gal and has pics of her four kids all over her styling room.

I just thought it was quantum her telling me her hubbie's reaction and it's an angle on the debate that I didn't see.

I'm certain that he wasn't the only one.

16. His Problems And Mannerisms are all Born of Subconscious Impulses
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 05:21 PM by Beetwasher
He can't control himself and won't be able to compensate. He has neither the discipline or self control to command himself to overcome the driving force of his subconscious impulses. He will try to overcompensate (think even MORE ridiculous swagger and chest puffing) and look bizarre and foolish. He's NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO PULL THIS OFF.

Whoever's talking into his ear and giving him instructions is going to have a hard time. I wouldn't want that job. He already lost it once during the first debate and addressed them directly. This debate they'll be forced to give him even MORE instructions "stop slouching. Say this EXACTLY. Etc."

We all know how Bush reacts to this sort of thing. It's going to drive him nuts.

And there's no way he has had enough time to come off as informed. LOL!

So what does a "president" do?

This is a no-win for him.

24. Yeah, the option of actually being intelligent and well prepared is not
available, after a lifetime of slackitude and 4 years spent sheltered among sycophantic worshippers, sheltered from any questioning or criticism.

He cannot cram for this test. The brain and character muscles are atrophied. They are just not there.

28. The freepers think he's going to magically pull out of the slump
this time. They keep insisting he should say this or that to Kerry about Iraq and seem ignorant or oblivious to the fact that this next debate is about domestic issues, not foreign policy.

Not only did Bush* screw up, but he screwed up when it most mattered to him and his followers.

I expect to see a similar, if not worse, performance from him Friday.

30. Dude is a spoiled, rich, fratboy used to lording his social status (born
into, not earned) over everyone. The making up of degrading nicknames for everyone including his elders is a clue to his spoiled, bullying nature. Remember him calling Paul O'Neill "Pablo". What kind of twit would do that. It is very revealing about his character. No wonder he smirks on camera. Kind of like, "I almost can't believe I can get away with all this shite."

People past their adolescence rarely change their basic character, and among grown adults it's rarer still. And shrubya has had the kind of sheltered presidency guaranteed to prevent any growth or improvement in his person.

Cheney is happy being Vice President because he doesn't have to be held accountable for what he does. I want Bush to explain this turnabout in power.
