before sending off.
Edwards won the Vice-Presidential debate hands down. Not only did he come across as a decent, humane and cheerful human being in contrast to the Vice President's growling Darth Vader impression, but he had a lot of help from the Vice President, who was caught out in lie after lie.
The Vice President attempted to claim that he had "never suggested" a connection between 9-11 and Saddam but a Meet the Press video shows him doing so. He said that he had never met Edwards before, but they had, twice, and there are photos proving it. He claimed that Edwards had a poor voting record, but Edwards’ actual record is about 84% overall. The Vice President even pretended that he was uninvolved in any of the many Halliburton scandals but as CEO back in 1998-99 he was enmeshed in illegal trading with Libya and Iran. He even said he doesn't profit from Halliburton's sweetheart no-bid contracts in the Middle East, but records show he holds millions worth of stock options that soar as the company and its subsidiaries reap their ill-gotten profits.
On second thought, Perhaps John Edwards didn’t win after all. Maybe Dick Cheney just lost. “Big-time,” as he would say.
(Edited to include the letter...duh.)

1. Good letter. Here's my input. |

I'd say "never suggested", using his actual quote. More damning.
